Play Derby!
Women over the age of 18 are eligible to train with ORD. Once you have passed minimum skills, you’re eligible to scrimmage and bout.

New players are welcomed on a regular basis through our Roller Derby Crash Course 101, a seven week course that covers the basics of roller derby – skating techniques, safe falls and stops. We can rent you skates and lend you the gear (first-come, first-served) to get you started!

Once you graduate from Crash Course 101, and move into our Level II derby training, you’ll become a dues-paying and insured member of our league.  You’ll work toward the WFTDA minimum skills test, after which , you may choose to become a member of a house team. House teams train with and play against each other.

Referee
Are you interested in roller derby, but sure if full-contact is for you? Becoming an official is a great way to learn the game and improve your skills!!  No experience is required to become an official. We welcome men and women as officials. Contact our head ref at ordheadref@gmail.com for details and to schedule a practice.

Volunteer
Volunteers are needed as non-skating officials and to help organize and run events and bouts. Contact bORDgroup@gmail.com.

On or off skates, there’s a place for you in ORD.
