Crash Course 101 is a 7-week course that teaches folks (aged 18+) the basics of roller skating for roller derby. 

Hosted by Ottawa Roller Derby, participants will learn basic skating techniques such as stopping, falling safely, crossovers, derby position, and footwork, as well as an introduction to the rules of roller derby.

The fall 2019 Crash Course will run from October 20, 2019 to December 8, 2019. Please note, there will be no class on November 17.

All participants MUST bring the following:

• quad skates (no rollerblades)

• helmet (roller derby/skateboard, hockey or bicycle)

• knee pads

• elbow pads

• wrist guards

• mouth guard (optional but recommended)
