Come check out our first home game of 2024, and it’s a double header! ORD’s Bytown Blackhearts will play against Roller Derby Sherbrooke in the first full contact game, followed by an intense battle between Montreal’s Trash Pandas versus the Renegade Derby Dames! No matter which teams come out on top, there’s bound to be lots of action to behold!

Doors open at 5:20pm, with the first whistle sounding at 5:45pm. The second game will commence after MVP awards are awarded at approximately 8pm.

Kid-friendly snacks and drinks will be available to purchase, as well as ORD merchandise.

Bring a chair to sit trackside! Seating available on a first come-first served basis.

Tickets are $15- Please show your confirmation email at the admissions table. Kids 12 and under can enter for free when accompanied by an adult. Cash and cards accepted at the venue (small service charges apply).

Once upon a time at the North Pole and the South Pole, penguins and polar bears fought a merciless battle. One February evening, the captains of each battalion decided to settle the issue once and for all.

And so it was decided that the Battle of the Poles would take place on February 22, 2020! The weapons of choice? Roller skates and roller derby!

First, the Ottawa Junior Roller Derby regiments will compete against each other. Then, the Penguin Battalion and the Polar Bear Battalion will fight for the honour of their species.

Who will win the battle?

To find out, head to the Centre Multisport de Gatineau (édifice La Fonderie)! But beware! Places are limited!

Il était une fois, au Pôle nord et au Pôle sud, les pingouins et les ours polaires se livraient une lutte sans merci. Un soir de février, les capitaines de chaque bataillon décidèrent de régler la question une fois pour toute.

C'est ainsi qu'il fut décidé que le 22 février de l'an 2020 aurait lieu la Bataille des Pôles! Les armes de prédilection? Des patins à roulettes et du roller derby!

D'abord, les régiments de Ottawa Junior Roller Derby s'affronteront. Puis, le bataillon des Pingouins et celui des Ours polaires combattront pour l'honneur de leur espèce.
